MDC releases deer season numbers


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation has deer season numbers in. 296,516 total deer were taken this year, 47% were antlered bucks, 10% were button bucks, and 43% were does.

This was up from nearly 286,000 taken last season. Archery totaled 67,180 deer this year. The MDC also reported four firearms related incidents, all self-inflicted, and non-fatal.
